JAKSON Engineers appoints Ivan Saha as MD

JAKSON Engineers Ltd has appointed Ivan Saha as its managing director. Saha will lead the company's integrated solar manufacturing business, overseeing technology, operations, and growth.

His appointment coincides with JAKSON's plans to expand its manufacturing footprint. The company is advancing large-scale backward integration across the solar value chain.

Leadership and Experience

Ivan Saha brings more than 31 years of experience across the semiconductor, solar, and sustainable energy sectors. Before joining JAKSON, he served as CEO of Reliance Infrastructure's renewable manufacturing business. He was previously CEO of Vikram Solar. Saha has also held the role of chief technology officer at ReNew Power and leadership roles at Moser Baer Photovoltaic and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

Group leadership highlighted the strategic importance of his hiring. Sameer Gupta, Chairman of the JAKSON Group, stated the company takes a long-term view in building businesses for evolving energy needs. He said Saha's experience will support continued investment in advanced manufacturing.

Sundeep Gupta, vice chairman of the JAKSON Group, pointed to the evolving solar manufacturing landscape. He said process control, quality, and cost efficiency will increasingly shape competitiveness as manufacturing becomes more integrated and digitalised. He stated Saha's relevant experience in these domains will be valuable for JAKSON's manufacturing plans.

In his own comments, Ivan Saha expressed excitement about joining the company. He said he looks forward to working with the experienced leadership team as JAKSON expands its solar manufacturing capabilities. Saha emphasized contributing to a phase of manufacturing scale-up with a focus on technology, quality, and operational efficiency. He linked this focus to India's 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' mission for self-reliance.

JAKSON Group Background

The JAKSON Group was established in 1947. It has evolved from specializing in diesel generator manufacturing to becoming a multifaceted energy and infrastructure solutions provider. The company's operations now span distributed energy, solar power, renewable energy, green molecules, alternative fuels, and energy storage systems.
