Freyr Energy has launched a new range of single-phase solar inverters for residential rooftop applications in India. The inverters are designed to maximize solar energy generation, improve overall system performance, and reduce operational losses.

The inverters are available in 3 kW and 5 kW variants and use silicon carbide (SiC) technology. They include digital monitoring features and were developed by Freyr Energy in collaboration with Zenergize, an EV charging and renewable energy solutions manufacturing company.

## Key Features of the Inverters

The inverters have a maximum conversion efficiency of 97.8%, enabling homeowners to maximize solar energy generation. They convert the DC electricity generated by solar panels into 230 V single-phase AC output.

The inverters also feature inbuilt smart technologies like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing consumers to monitor system performance in real time through the Freyr Energy Solar App.

## Safety and Reliability Features

The inverters have IP65 protection and integrated safety mechanisms for protection against short-circuit, overload, overheating, and surge conditions from lightning or voltage spikes. They also have MNRE approval, BIS certification, and a 10-year warranty and dependable long-term performance.

The self-cleaning technology, supported by dust-resistant design, helps reduce dust accumulation and supports consistent performance with minimal maintenance requirements.

## Benefits of the Inverters

According to Radhika Choudary, Co-Founder and Director at Freyr Energy, the inverters aim to address persistent customer challenges such as energy losses, fragmented monitoring, and weather-related performance concerns.

The inverters use Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology to continuously track the optimum voltage and current from the solar panels, maximizing energy generation under changing weather conditions. They also seamlessly synchronise with the utility grid by matching its voltage, frequency, and phase, enabling surplus solar power to be exported whenever available.

## About Freyr Energy
